It’s incredible what you can do with balloons nowadays, long gone are the days of simple bunches of generic “Happy Birthday” balloons in the corner of the room. Party Food Bars

Food bars were made for parties and they’re going to be big in 2018. What could be better than a giant spread of beautifully presented food and drink, where you can pick whatever you fancy? (If you’re a foodie like me then not much!) And they’re so versatile. You can have a party food bar for breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks or just the best bit…desserts! Hygge Inspired Parties

Don’t fancy a big, out-there celebration this year? Then a hygge inspired party may be just what you’re looking for. With no literal translation, hygge is about enjoying life’s simple pleasures; friends and family, happiness, comfort and cosiness. Dim the lights, light some candles, have a few simple natural decorations and serve rich warming food. Get everyone together for a cosy night in playing board games and watching films. Perfect.

Ultra Violet

With Ultra Violet announced as colour of the year by Pantone, this is definitely the colour to feature at your event this year, especially if you’re planning a wedding. Communicating originality, mystery and intrigue this beautiful colour would work perfectly with rich navy’s and gold to create mystical party themes such as unicorns, mermaids and space exploration.

Enchanting Backdrops

Backdrops are here to stay in 2018 and like statement balloons, they come in all shapes and sizes with plenty of DIY tutorials out there. Perfect for standing behind food and drink tables or photo ops, trends for this year include soft elegant drapes, natural elements such as greenery, floral screens and timber and texture with fringing, paper fans and pom poms.

Royal Celebrations

Everyone loves a good wedding, especially if it’s also a royal one. With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle set to be wed on 19th May this year and a good chance that the ceremony will be televised, there’s sure to be lots of celebrations. So, dust off that old tea set, create a spread fit for the queen, maybe even have a garden party (weather permitting) and host your very own royal wedding celebration. After all, we do love a right old knees-up!
